Empowering the next generation of nurses, one scholarship at a time. Financial hardship should never be the reason a passionate and capable student gives up on their dream of becoming a nurse. The NurseLift Bursary Fund is GNI’s response to the overwhelming need for educational support in underserved regions—especially in Africa. This fund provides tuition support, learning materials, and mentorship opportunities to aspiring nurses who show dedication and potential but lack the financial means to pursue their training.
Open to nursing students in developing countries
Covers tuition fees, textbooks, internet data for online classes, and exam costs
Supported through individual and corporate sponsorships
Helping internationally educated nurses return to the profession they love. Thousands of qualified, internationally educated nurses (IENs) are living in Canada, unable to practice due to complicated and costly licensing processes. The Bridge2Practice Program helps break down those barriers by providing exam preparation, licensing support, mentorship, and career coaching to IENs who are ready to serve. This program promotes equity in healthcare by integrating diverse, skilled professionals into Canada’s workforce—many of whom come from racialized and immigrant communities.

Taking care beyond borders—bringing healing where it’s needed most. Through Nursing Without Borders, GNI mobilizes Canadian healthcare professionals to participate in short-term medical missions in underserved countries. Volunteers provide direct patient care, health education, and professional training to local nurses and healthcare workers in remote communities. Our goal is not only to deliver care but also to build sustainable partnerships and strengthen local health systems.
